Please read this Agreement carefully before using the [SHEGO] application. Your use of the application constitutes your full consent and unconditional acceptance of these terms and conditions, creating a contractual relationship between you and the application. The application has the right to terminate this contractual relationship at any time and for any reason.
First Clause: Acceptance of the Terms and Conditions:
1. 1 Your use of the [SHEGO] Platform (which includes the app, the website, and related services) constitutes your acknowledgment and agreement to comply with all that is stated in these terms and conditions.
1. 2 The app administration has the right, at its sole discretion, to amend these terms and conditions. Amendments take effect for users from the date they are published on the app or when users are notified of the amendments via (the app, email, or SMS).
1. 3 Continuing to use the service after the amendment constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
Second Clause: Detailed Definitions:
2. 1 For the purposes of these terms, the following terms shall have the meanings set out below:
Platform: Includes the [App Name] application, the website, and all services connecting drivers and riders.
Application: An electronic program named (SHEGO) (restricted to women only) that provides mediation and connection services between drivers and riders registered in the program. A rider requests a trip through the app to move from a pickup location to a drop-off location, and drivers receive riders’ requests through the app, which allows them to accept those requests in accordance with the specified rules and requirements.
App Administration: The owner and operator of the (SHEGO) application, duly registered with the competent authorities.
Account: The account created for the user within the app, consisting of a user ID/username and a password, through which the user can benefit from the app’s services and which is subject to the terms and conditions.
User or Client: Any person registered on the platform (whether driver or rider) who has been accepted by the app administration and assigned an account within the app.
Rider: A person authorized by the app administration to benefit from and request transport and delivery services through the app, and who is from the (women) category only. This includes any companions inside the driver’s vehicle based on this request.
Driver: A person authorized by the app administration to provide transport and delivery services to riders through the app after fulfilling the legal requirements, and who is (women) only.
Vehicle: The driver’s means of transport (car) that meets the requirements of the (SHEGO) application and has been approved by the app administration, allowing the driver to provide the app’s transport services using it.
Transport Service/Trip: The process of transporting the rider requested through the app from one location to another, starting from the pickup point to the drop-off point by the driver using her vehicle.
Request: The process by which the rider submits a request for transport service from drivers via the app.
Tariff/Pricing: The fare calculated for the trip based on the app’s criteria.
Wallet: An in-app feature that allows the user to add and store funds in the app to benefit from its services.
Monthly Subscription: (If any) A paid plan that provides additional features for drivers/riders. (Optional)
Rating System: A mechanism for rating drivers and riders after each trip.
Electronic Invoice: The official payment document issued via the platform.
Emergency Circumstances: Anticipated or unanticipated incidents (such as traffic accidents, natural disasters) that affect the execution of the trip.
Authority: The Transport General Authority in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or any related regulatory body.
Third Clause: Scope and Application:
3. 1 This agreement is legally binding on all app users. This privacy and usage policy applies to all users anywhere in the world.
3. 2 This application is available and permitted for use by women only and is not available to males whether as drivers or riders. Accordingly, the user of the app and those benefiting from it must be women only.
3. 3 Users may not assign their accounts, transfer their ownership, or allow others to use them, nor may they request the service for a person not registered in the app or on behalf of someone other than the account holder who requested the service. If this is proven, the app administration has the right to report the violator to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal action, and it also has the right to deny the violator service and suspend the account.
3. 4 Users of this app acknowledge their consent to receive communications from the app and to receive messages via email, phone, or app notifications.
3. 5 App employees can access all beneficiary account information registered in the app.
3. 6 The app disclaims responsibility for any fraudulent calls requesting your confidential information or any fraudulent operations.
Fourth Clause: Eligibility, Registration, and Activation Requirements:
4. 1 All users must provide accurate and correct data during registration. In case of tampering, fraud, or forgery of user data, the app has the right to take the necessary legal measures against the violator, without prejudice to any measures taken by official authorities.
4. 2 Requirements for registering a rider:
- The rider must be (women) only and have full legal capacity.
- Possess a valid Saudi ID, a valid resident ID (Iqama), a valid visitor ID, or any official document issued by the state allowing its holder to be present within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia legally.
- Register a mobile number inside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that is linked to the Absher system associated with the rider’s ID.
- Activate the account via the “Absher” system or two-factor authentication.
- Acceptance of the account by the app administration.
4. 3 Requirements for registering a driver: - The driver must be (women) only, not less than (18) years old and not more than (70) years old, and have full legal capacity.
- The driver must be the owner of the vehicle, its actual user, or an authorized user.
- A valid insurance policy on the vehicle that covers civil liability towards third parties (beneficiaries and non-beneficiaries).
- Possession of a valid Saudi driving license.
- Ownership of a compliant vehicle that meets the requirements specified within the app (e. g. , make/model/size).
- The vehicle must not be more than (10) years old from its manufacturing date as recorded by official authorities.
- Acceptance of the driver by the app administration.
- Passing the periodic technical inspection of the vehicle at an accredited center according to PTA requirements. (Optional)
- No criminal record or serious traffic violations. (Optional)
Fifth Clause: Obligations and Responsibilities:
5. 1 Driver Obligations:
- The driver must be (women) only, registered in the app, and approved.
- The driver shall not bring any companion inside the vehicle; it must be dedicated during the trip to the rider who requested the transport only.
- The driver must hold a valid driving license and vehicle registration.
- The driver must have insurance on the vehicle registered and used to transport beneficiaries via the app.
- The driver must pay the commission due to the app immediately upon it becoming due.
- The driver must notify the app and the rider if any luggage or forgotten items belonging to the rider are found, and if found in the vehicle, must preserve and return them to the rider.
- Comply with all applicable regulations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, especially the Traffic Law and its Implementing Regulations, and the instructions issued by the Authority.
- Do not carry or transport any prohibited materials or riders of unknown identity.
- Adhere to the route specified in the app without change or deviation except with the rider’s approval or upon the rider’s request.
- Commit to completing the trip from picking up the rider at the pickup point to dropping her off at the drop-off point without change, deviation, delay, or stopping without cause or justification.
- Preserve the safety of riders.
- Observe courtesy and respect for public etiquette (personal hygiene / no smoking / not forcing riders to listen to specific audio / respecting the rider’s privacy / turning on the AC if requested by the client).
- Ensure the vehicle is clean before each trip and prepared for riders and their personal belongings.
- Provide an approved electronic invoice via the app for each trip.
- Maintain the confidentiality of the rider’s data and do not share it with anyone.
- Do not exploit the rider’s personal data obtained from the app, do not misuse it, and refrain from using it for personal purposes outside the scope of the app.
- Maintain safety standards (display the driver’s ID badge, provide a first-aid kit and a fire extinguisher).
- The driver acknowledges not engaging in any behavior or act that would infringe private or public rights while providing the service to any beneficiary.
- The app administration has the right to request from the driver the recording from the camera installed inside the vehicle for any trip, and the driver must hand it over immediately upon request by the app administration.
- The driver agrees to and accepts all that is contained in the agreement and the app.
5. 2 Rider Obligations:
- The rider must be from the (women) category only.
- The rider shall not bring any companion inside the vehicle from the (male) category, except for males who have not exceeded 12 years of age.
- Pay the full cost of the trip according to the chosen payment method.
- Pay the fare due through the available payment methods within the app.
- Pay the fare to the driver immediately upon the end of the trip if the rider chose cash payment to the driver.
- Be present at the pickup location within no more than (5) minutes of the driver’s arrival.
- Respect public etiquette (no smoking / courtesy and respect for the driver / no eating in the vehicle without the driver’s permission).
- Keep the driver’s vehicle clean and do not damage the vehicle or its accessories or contents in any way; in case of violation, the driver has the right to seek compensation from the client.
- Adhere to the requested destination and do not change it or stop during the trip without updating the request.
- Do not use the service for unlawful purposes (transporting prohibited materials, smuggling, etc. ).
- The rider must be (women) only, with no males.
- Do not bring male companions inside the vehicle, except those under 12 years of age.
- Do not bring companions exceeding the number allowed (by the Traffic Department, the driver, or the app administration) inside the vehicle.
- Do not bring or transport items or luggage exceeding the capacity or size of the vehicle and beyond its intended scope.
- The rider and her companions (if any) must not engage in any act that would infringe private or public rights during the trip.
- The rider must not share her personal data with the driver; the minimum required rider data is displayed and shared with the driver through the app.
- Use the permitted payment methods (in-app payment or cash payment directly to the driver) as agreed before the start of the trip.
- The rider acknowledges and consents to the driver’s use of the camera inside the car to document the events of the trip.
- The rider agrees to and accepts all that is contained in the agreement and the app.
Sixth Clause: Pricing and Payments:
6. 1 The fare for the trip is calculated based on several factors, including:
- Distance.
- Trip time (using Google Maps).
- Supply and demand (peak times).
- Traffic congestion.
- Government fees (Value Added Tax).
- Environmental factors affecting the trip (such as heavy rain / fog / dust / difficult terrain / …).
- Vehicle type or class.
6. 2 The initial cost of the trip appears to the rider and the driver and is subject to change before the request is accepted.
6. 3 The trip price is subject to change according to the app’s internal pricing policy even after the request is accepted.
6. 4 The app has the right to impose additional fees or amounts in the following cases: - Repeated cancellations by the rider.
- The rider changes the route of the trip or requests the driver to stop for any purpose before reaching the final drop-off point.
- If the rider damages the vehicle or any part of it.
6. 5 Payment is made through the in-app payment methods or in cash directly to the driver, according to the rules specified in the app.
6. 6 No amounts are refunded after the trip has started, except in exceptional cases subject to the app administration’s discretion.
Seventh Clause: Cancellation and Compensation:
7. 1 The app administration may provide some financial support at its sole discretion and without obligation in the following cases:
- If the rider cancels the request less than one minute after the driver accepts: (the driver is not compensated).
- If the rider cancels the request more than one minute after the driver accepts: (fees are imposed on the rider).
- If the driver cancels the trip before reaching the rider without justification: (fees are imposed on the driver).
- If cancellation by any party is due to emergency circumstances: the case must be proven through customer service (photo, report) to avoid the penalty.
- If the rider does not show up at the agreed pickup location and the driver waits at the location for 5 minutes: (waiting fees are imposed on the rider).
Eighth Clause: Data and Privacy Policy:
8. 1 The platform collects the following data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and SDAIA regulations:
- Geolocation data during the trip.
- Payment records and chats.
- User ratings.
- Payment information.
8. 2 Data is disclosed only: - Pursuant to a court order.
- For investigative requirements (such as the Public Prosecution or security authorities).
- To handle disputes between users.
- To improve service quality.
- When necessary.
8. 3 The app collects user information obtained through the app and uses it for multiple purposes, including: - Improving the service and app quality.
- Documenting everything related to the app and beneficiary information and storing it.
- Storing, transferring, and processing data inside and outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- The app strives to store and process data securely and disclaims responsibility for any data breach.
- The app has the right to access your personal information and data registered through or linked to the app.
- The app shares rider information with the driver in order to facilitate the transport service provided through the app, such as: (pickup and drop-off locations / first name / mobile number).
- The app may also share your information with the competent and security authorities in response to their requests.
- The app has the right to change or amend the privacy policy without the user’s consent, provided that users are notified of these changes and they are published in the app. These changes become binding and effective upon publication or notification to users by any means.
Ninth Clause: Legal Liability:
9. 1 Liability for crimes or criminal behavior:
- The platform is not responsible for any criminal acts or illegal behavior committed by the driver or the rider.
- Full legal responsibility lies with the perpetrator of the criminal act, and the app retains transaction records to be provided to the security authorities whenever requested.
- The app is not responsible for drivers’ or riders’ violations of regulations (such as spying, harassment, etc. ).
- The driver is obligated to compensate the rider for any damage resulting from her negligence.
- The rider is obligated to compensate the driver for any deliberate damage to the vehicle.
- In the event of a criminal incident, the competent authorities must be informed immediately.
9. 2 Liability for items or materials transported inside the vehicle:
- The app does not provide freight or shipping services and bears no responsibility for what is transported inside the vehicle as luggage or property by riders or beneficiaries.
- The app does not provide any type of insurance for users or their personal belongings.
- It is strictly prohibited for all beneficiaries to transport the following materials: weapons, drugs, intoxicants, chemicals or prohibited materials, or any item considered in violation of the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- If it is proven that prohibited materials are being carried or transported by the rider or the driver, the rider or driver shall bear full responsibility for that according to what the competent authorities decide. The app disclaims responsibility for that and has the right to ban the account without notice and to claim its rights for any consequences arising therefrom.
9. 3 Limits of the App’s Liability:
- The app is only an intermediary between the rider and the driver and is not the employer of either party; there is no vicarious liability relationship between the parties.
- The app bears no obligation to pay compensation or damages for beneficiaries; the party causing the damage bears full responsibility.
- The app administration does not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or continuity of the service at all times.
- The app administration bears no responsibility for any delay or failure to complete the trip for any reason (such as accidents, weather conditions, or natural disasters, etc. ).
- The app administration disclaims responsibility for misuse of the app or for any incidents contrary to the law concerning the rider, the driver, or others.
- In the event of any accidents, injuries, deaths, damages, or other claims of any kind, the app bears no responsibility arising therefrom, as the app’s role is to mediate between the rider and the driver.
9. 4 Liability for traffic accidents:
- The platform is a technical intermediary only and does not bear responsibility for traffic accidents or their consequences (liability lies with the driver, the insurance company, or third parties).
Tenth Clause: Suspension or Termination of the Account:
10. 1 The platform has the right to suspend or delete the account immediately in the event of:
- Misuse of the account or violation of the terms or laws.
- Use of forged documents or documents not belonging to the actual app user.
- Tampering with the rating system.
- The user committing any act contrary to Islamic Sharia provisions or regulations.
10. 2 The user can delete her account by contacting technical support or through the app.
10. 3 The app administration has the right to suspend or freeze any account at its sole discretion and without the need for a justification.
Eleventh Clause: Governing Law and Dispute Resolution:
11. 1 These terms and conditions are subject to the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
11. 2 The courts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have exclusive jurisdiction to adjudicate any dispute arising from this agreement.
11. 3 In the event of a dispute, it shall be resolved amicably; if no settlement is reached, the case shall be brought before the competent court in the city of [Dammam].
Twelfth Clause: Features and Functions Available in the App:
12. 1 The app provides several features and functions that facilitate users’ use of the app, including:
- Location Services (GPS): to enable trip tracking and improve service quality.
- Ratings and Reviews: riders and drivers can rate each other after each trip.
- Multiple Payment Options: (Mada, credit cards, Apple Pay, cash).
- In-app Chat: for secure communication between rider and driver.
- Trip Sharing: the rider can share trip details with contacts.
- Scheduled Trips: the ability to book a trip at a later time.
- Complaints Management and Technical Support: via the app or email.
- Loyalty Program or Offers: if any, offering discounts or points to regular users.
12. 2 The app has the right to send and publish promotional offers and advertisements whether inside the app or by sending them through the beneficiary’s registered contact channels (email / mobile number / etc. ), whether these offers or advertisements are related to the app or independent of it.
Thirteenth Clause: Use of the App:
13. 1 No person or user may reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of the app without written permission from the app administration.
13. 2 The app may not be used for any unlawful purposes or in violation of public order or public morals.
13. 3 The app has the right to take all legal measures against anyone who misuses the app, including suspending the account and requesting payment of all financial dues resulting from such breach. The app administration also has the right to notify the competent authorities of such misuse.
13. 4 All intellectual property rights, including the platform, are owned by the app administration and may not be infringed.
Fourteenth Clause: Amendments to the Terms and Conditions:
14. 1 The app administration reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions, and the new terms and conditions shall take effect immediately upon notifying the user or publishing them within the platform.
14. 2 In the event of any new cases or terms or conditions not covered by this agreement, the final decision to regulate and resolve them shall rest with the app administration.
14. 3 The terms and conditions contained in this agreement do not limit any laws, regulations, or decisions in force in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Fifteenth Clause: Contact and Support Information:
15. 1 The app administration provides an administrative unit to receive, manage, and handle beneficiary complaints. Communication is via the following:

Sixteenth Clause: Acknowledgment of Agreement to the Terms and Conditions:
